in the mailbox are the most common tactics used by gypsy paving and seal coat outfits. Slicker than Huck Finn, they hone their sales pitch to entice unsuspecting homeowners with their shine. But, the service is far from professional, leaving the scammed homeowner red-faced and without recourse.
What can you do? Be smart. Do your homework. Get local references. If it sounds too good to be true it's likely a scam.
